Allume Feature

Allume: Living in the Light

One of my favorite blogs is the new Allume blog. Allume is the name of a yearly blogging conference for Christian women, and they recently also began a blog for all of us! I have wanted to go to the conference, but it is just too difficult for me given my limitations. It is such a treat for me now to be able to share in the Allume community online, connect with other bloggers who love Jesus, and learn new blogging and writing tips right from home.

One of the monthly features on the Allume blog is the telling of Her Story.  Each month JessicaHeights tells the story of one member of the Allume community, because everyone has a story worth telling.  Last week Jessica shared my story. I was so blessed by the encouragement I received from friends and the Allume community when my story was published. Thank you, friends, for your kind words!

Goodbye Georgia

This has been our last weekend in Georgia. Tomorrow morning we begin the drive to Minnesota. We are very excited about the opportunity to go to Minnesota and serve the Lord there, but with it comes a sadness as we say goodbye to the friends and family we love in Georgia.

We had a good Easter weekend with my parents and sister. We still had to do some packing and cleaning on Easter Sunday, but we were able to make time for pictures and an Easter egg hunt!

Easter Sunday

“Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; He has risen!"  Luke 24:5b-6a, NIV

Good Friday

  1. When I  Survey the Wondrous Cross

When I survey the wondrous cross
On which the Prince of glory died,
My richest gain I count but loss,
And pour contempt on all my pride.
  2. Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast,
Save in the death of Christ my God!
All the vain things that charm me most,
I sacrifice them to His blood.
  3. See from His head, His hands, His feet,
Sorrow and love flow mingled down!
Did e’er such love and sorrow meet,
Or thorns compose so rich a crown?
  4. Were the whole realm of nature mine,
    That were a present far too small;
    Love so amazing, so divine,
Demands my soul, my life, my all.

We Are Moving!

At Will's Ordination Service
March 25, 2012

We have some big changes happening here in the Lundy household. Back in February Will interviewed and candidated at a church in southwest Minnesota. Following that, he was asked to fill a two year ministry position there. After much thought and prayerful consideration, we accepted the the position. We will be moving very soon! We are excited about the opportunity to serve the Lord and this church in Minnesota.

The people at the church have already made us feel so welcome, and we aren't even there yet. They are very willing to work with us regarding my health and the complications that it brings. I am so grateful for their kindness and sensitivity toward me and the needs I have. We are  feeling very blessed!

Currently we are, and have been, busy with moving preparations. We will be leaving Atlanta on April 10th, and, Lord willing, we will arrive in Minnesota on April 12th.

If you think of me in the next few weeks, please pray for me. I have had some better days recently, but in general my health has slowly been getting worse over the past few months. Moving is going to add to the physical stress on my body.  Please pray that my health would remain stable during the move and while we settle into our new home. Thanks, friends.

The picture above was taken at Will's ordination service a couple of weeks ago.  Before moving, the elders of our church here in Georgia wanted to hold a special service ordaining Will for ministry.
