Clothe Yourselves with Compassion

"Therefore as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience."  Colossians 3:12

On Sunday, Deidra Riggs hosts "The Sunday Community."  It is a place for bloggers to quietly gather on Sunday mornings and link up posts containing a Bible verse or words to a hymn.  I am usually unable to go to church on Sunday mornings because I need to stay in bed until about noon.  In recent months I have enjoyed reading posts from this community on Sunday mornings while I am home alone and stuck in bed.  I am now hoping to also join in with the blogging each week and share a verse or a song that has been a blessing to me.

Blog Design from Elegant Custom Blogs

My friend, Melanie, has been busy working on a new blog design for me. Last spring, right before we moved, I won a blog design giveaway on Melanie's blog.  I was thrilled to have won, but then with the difficulties of moving I wasn't able to correspond much with Melanie about the new design.  Once I finally got settled in, we began the design project again.  I love the finished product! She did a fabulous job, don't you think?

It was a delight to have Melanie help me with my blog. I had been wanting something new, but didn't quite know what I wanted or how to create it. After exchanging several emails with Melanie, this is what she created! The first time I saw her design I thought, "How is it that I didn't know what I wanted, but Melanie did?!"  She was able to take all of my answers to her questions, my Color Inspiration Pinterest board, and my thoughts on fonts, and create a beautiful new look for Cranberry Tea Time.

If anyone is in need of a new blog design, check out Melanie's design blog: Elegant Custom Blogs. She does a beautiful job, and she is so easy to work with. She takes the time to figure out what you like so that your blog design will reflect your own personal taste.

Thank you, Melanie, for my new blog design! It was a pleasure working with you.

The King and Queen Welcome Us to Minnesota

The King and Queen of Southwest Minnesota

As we pulled into our new town in southwest Minnesota, Adelaide saw what she believed was a familiar site. "It's the King and Queen!" our 2 year old exclaimed. Her favorite buildings were here to welcome her home!

Having spent the previous 8 months in the Atlanta area, the King and Queen building had become the children's favorite landmark. When we would drive by, the children would always shout out, "It's the King and Queen!"

As Adelaide has taught us, farm country also has king and queen buildings. :) These particular grain bins (aka, King and Queen), make me smile every time we drive by.

We are settling into our new home, new town, and new church here in Minnesota. The move was harder than anticipated, but we are doing well and are so thankful for the opportunity we have to live and serve the Lord here.

We're still working on unpacking.  I'm slow, so it takes a while! :) But we'll get there. The hardest part of it is done, and I'm ready to start putting some energy back into blogging. Hello Cranberry Tea Time friends; I have missed you!
